Got home Saturday night, June 7. The next Saturday through Monday, 13-15th, turned out to be James’ annual Copper River red salmon (sockeye) dip-netting trip with friends (got back just in time!). Praising God for, once again, full limit plus two supplements, for a total of (almost) 50 fish (there’s a story there). Don’t have pics from the trip, but do have pics of the first caviar I’ve ever made – and eaten! Neat mouth texture as they pop, and yummy when very fresh. Perfect with blinis filled with sour cream, diced onion, mascerated lemon, and dill! ~S
