Especially enjoyed the dances presented by groups from various villages – they explained the meanings/stories, then performed each dance. It was also noted that the dance following a funeral potlatch is meant to “uplift those who lost someone.” They begin with memorial dances, then move to fun dances. We also admired beautiful beadwork by Bernadette Charlie, and she kindly gave us tips as she worked.  We girls now have another craft on our want-to-do list!
