Accomplished this week:

Monday:

James raised and attached boxes we had previously had on the ground.  Jared and Christa helped Shannon fill and mix the soil.  Look - no more weeds!

Tuesday:  James completed 5 raised beds that turned into a virtual greenhouse; Shannon, Christa, and Jared planted starts and seeds

Wednesday:  tilling, raking, planting peas & beans and annual grass seed

Our former potato patch hosted wheat grass last summer for erosion control.  James tilled it in while Dani and Shannon turned the compost piles

About 1,000 seeds of each peas and beans went into the ground in record time with an assembly line, and the rain came off and on throughout.  James and Rachel watered by 5-gallon jug - by hand.  Hoping for a spigot installation by the end of the week.
