What does a trip from Fairbanks to Palmer look like? – PHOTO journal

Thought it would be fun to show a bit of what our drive is like when we go to Palmer/Anchorage. Going 360 miles in Alaska is definitely different than in California or even Montana…miles and miles of no “civilization” and being surrounded by God’s beauty.

The picture spacing below is awful, and I cannot get the blog site to cooperate.  Patiently page down (the pics do keep coming!) or check out the album on Facebook (you do not need to have a fb account to see them).

And then, the drive home. Shortly after this picture, we entered whiteout conditions, which continued for 50+ miles. Dani leaned out the left window, Shan leaned out the right window, spotting for James as he crept along, trying to keep from being sucked into a drift on either side.

  1. Love the picture of Rachel kissing baby Timothy! Oh how sweet is that expression! Scary about the white out, but sounds like you can handle it. 🙂 Blessings!
